In a recent update from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), the timeline for filing Annual Returns for Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Plastic Waste Management for FY 2024-25 has been officially extended.
What’s the Latest Update?
As per the Office Memorandum (F. No.:12/64/2023-HSM) dated 27th June 2025, the last date for filing annual returns for Producers, Importers, and Brand Owners (PIBOs) and Plastic Waste Processors (PWPs) has been extended till:

This extension comes as a special case to ease challenges faced by stakeholders and to encourage more environmentally responsible plastic waste management as per the Plastic Waste Management (Second Amendment) Rules, 2023.
